Our Heritage

CG Formulas™ is the consumer-facing brand of Chulgwon Formulas™, a San Diego company rooted in traditional East Asian herbal formulation.

Our formulas come from a body of knowledge preserved through a family lineage and passed from one generation to the next. Within this tradition, proper formulation requires more than selecting individual herbs. It requires an understanding of each ingredient’s traditional qualities, the purpose it serves, the amount used, and how it works together with the rest of the formula.

These inherited preparations were valued because of the knowledge required to formulate them properly and the care taken to preserve their original purpose across generations.
